A Guide for SmellWell Sales Reps

Why This Matters: NuOrder is the single source of truth for all wholesale accounts. Every customer and order must begin in NuOrder to prevent orders from getting lost.

Step 1

Create a New Customer

  • 1.

    Go to Contacts and click + New Company.

  • 2.

    Fill in the required Company Information, including Name, Phone, and contact First/Last Name.

  • 3.

    Immediately add Buyer Information and Address Details.

Note: Do not use the old "Shopify Create" link. That workflow is retired.

The Shopify Link

The Account Code field in NuOrder is the Shopify Customer ID. It syncs automatically every 30 minutes.

Critical Rule

If the Account Code is empty, the link is not active. NEVER approve an order for that company, or it will be stranded.

Approve Orders Safely

✅ Safe to Approve

When the Account Code IS present.

1. Check the order name.

2. Confirm the company has an Account Code.

❌ DO NOT Approve

When the Account Code is MISSING.

1. You check the company, but the code is missing.

2. NEVER approve the order in this state.

Fixing a Deletion

If a company is deleted in NuOrder, relink it from Shopify:

  1. In Shopify Admin, find the customer and copy the numeric ID from the URL.
  2. Back in NuOrder, re-create the company, buyer, and address data.
  3. Paste the copied ID into the Account Code field and save.
  4. Double-check the Account Code has synced after 5-10 minutes.

End-of-Day Checklist

  • New accounts created only in NuOrder.
  • Company contacts have first and last names.
  • Phone numbers are in a valid international or US format.
  • A buyer is added for every company.
  • Most importantly: Account Code is present before approving orders.

Stick to these rules and we'll never lose another order—or another hour—again.
